I've officially coined today.... 'Backwards Day'.
Why you might ask?

Ahhh it started with Pauline booking our car in for a service today.

That was fine... however Pauline stressed that our car was 'too dirty' to take in for a service. (Well it's been a very long time since we washed it!)

So guess what we were doing around 10:30pm last night?
Yup... washing the car..... so it's clean to take to the garage for a service.

Hence... Backwards Day!

LOL, by and large, it's the ONLY time it gets washed. When Arthur says to me that the car needs a wash, I say to him, "Hmm, must be due for a service." *giggles*

But seriously, I physically can't do it. On those occasions when I can't stand it any more, I go to the car wash, and it gets a good wash down then. I don't use the automatic car washes, have been caught out there once or twice.

I admire your comittment to wash the car, regardless of time of day - err - night.

You have to be kidding. They wash it for you when it is serviced.

I celebrated Backwards Day by getting up and going to work even though everybody isn't at work today.

Well it isn't an official holiday but it seems as though it should be.

Ok I have to defend myself here. The car is SOO dirty that I can't even open the boot and put anything it it without dirtying my trousers!

And.. it was fun washing the car wasn't it? I did the scrubbing part of it didn't I?! And it didn't take that long did it? AND we got a slurpy after it didn't we? so that makes it all the worth.

P.S. We've never had our car washed during a service? Probably cos its always so dirty they're scared to!

Must be a Geelong thing as Auntie Coral said her car gets washed during a service too.
