We need to pursue a different strategy for OLPC deployment in Australia -- the current Government policy is focused on high school deployments, while the OLPC is appropriate only for primary school students (at least when it comes to day-to-day use in the classroom, as opposed to a target for high school computing science projects, for instance).

I think years 9-12 students would not appreciate the "toy-like" size and nature of the OLPC - although OLPC v2 looks very interesting!
